I have tried just about everything I can think of from uninstalling and reinstalling Skype, restarting my computer numerous times and uninstalling Adobe Flash with the uninstaller tool and reinstalling it. This will open the plugins page of the browser. Open Chrome and type about:plugins in the address bar and hit enter. Whenever I go to one of those websites it freezes for about five minutes and then tells me that the Flash plug-in has crashed, with a sad puzzle piece. Following are the steps to fix the Shockwave Flash Crash in Google Chrome. I also cannot use programs that I would use webcam on either (I tried Stickam and Tinychat). After uninstalling it and installing it a few times I was able to watch videos again, but I am still unable to run Skype (I try to sign in and it stays on the "Signing In" screen or tells me that it cannot connect). If installing the latest version of Flash Player from the Adobe website doesnt solve the problem, another browser add-on may be causing a conflict. At first, I wasn't able to watch videos or do anything that required flash, including running skype. Flash plugin crashes seem to be slightly less common in Internet Explorer, but if you do experience a crash, the most likely culprit is an outdated version of Flash source: Adobe. This happens on all browsers, Google Chrome, Firefox and IE, which I have all the most recent updated versions of. ![]() ![]() I have Windows 7 and recently, out of no where, I started getting messages that my Shockwave Flash Player has crashed.
